Dear kung kungs, popos, aunties and uncles,

Meet our first child whose legs were opened wide for the doc and us to see.. who turned around so that we can take a good look to see two big eyes, a nose and waved at us to say 'hi' to mummy and daddy as a black and white portrait was captured.

finally..

Today's Friday the 26th of September! It's finally here. It's just another 8 - 9 hours before we (as just me and ck) will know whether we'll have a boy or a girl.. Been bombarded with the SAME question for the past 2 weeks and for some reason, it has intensified in the last week.

"Are you having a boy or a girl?"
"Do you know if it's a boy or girl?"

Getting myself armed with an answer, I'm actually contemplating on not telling ppl and just keeping the secret to myself! hehe... what do you think ck? Shall we do that?

Bear in mind! Baby K might not be cooperative with the scan later but I'll do what I can by drinking lots of water and holding in my pee as long as I can as indicated here as of how I can 'help get a better scan'.

A boy or a girl?? oo... exciting day!!

Think...

Have been subscribing to GCFL (Good Clean Fun Laughter) for years. Occasionally, they send God related stories but this articular one, is a reminder of God's never ending Grace and despite of our inadequacy, He's always there and you can get a lift in life by performing a simple act of talking to Him anytime, anywhere. It's a tough road to be on regardless... Both me and ck need a constant reminder of who we serve. A living almighty God that wants nothing but the best for us and with an unborn child on the way, our faith and trust can really be tested to the max. With such a problematic pregnancy initially, it has been a long 4 months of doctor visits, jabs, worries and high medical bills. But we're grabbing and holding the His words of promises and hope.

PSALMS 139
 13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
       your works are wonderful,
       I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
       were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

25 things worth thinking about
Received from Rick Widdison through The Good, Clean Funnies List

1) Give God what's RIGHT -- not what's LEFT.

2) Man's way leads to hopeless end; God's way leads to endless hope.

3) A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.

4) He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.

5) In the sentence of life, the devil may be a comma, but never let him be the period.

6) Don't put a question mark where God puts a period.

7) Are you wrinkled with burden? Come to the church for a faith-lift.

8) When praying, don't give God instructions -- just report for duty.

9) Don't wait for six strong men to take you to the church.

10) We don't change God's message; His message changes us.

11) All churches should be prayer-conditioned.

12) When God ordains, He sustains.

13) WARNING: Exposure to the Son may prevent burning.

14) Plan ahead -- it wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.

15) Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory position.

16) Suffering from truth decay? Brush up with your Bible on a daily basis.

17) Exercise daily! Walk with the Lord.

18) Never give the devil a ride -- he will always want to drive.

19) Nothing else ruins the truth like stretching it.

20) Compassion is difficult to give away because it keeps coming back.

21) He who angers you controls you.

22) Worry is the darkroom in which negatives can develop.

23) Give Satan an inch, and he'll be a ruler.

24) Be ye fishers of men -- you catch them, and God will clean them.

25) God does not call the qualified; he qualifies the called.

finally the good stuffs!

Had a definite, for sure, 100% certain, "It's the baby" moment. Followed by 2 more hard bumps after lying down quietly for quite some time with my hands in ready position.

A couple nights later, it was ck's turn to experience it! I think this baby's going to be a daddy's kid. In just a matter of a few seconds after placing his hand on my tummy, it gave a hard jab! I can feel lots of movement inside whenever he talks and teases to the baby. Wish I could have captured ck's facial expression when he felt that very first bump. A face of utter surprise followed by a quick "Is that it?". An assurance from me caused a HUGE grin to form on his face.

Haven't had a good pregnancy with all the precautions, really expensive but necessary doctor's visits, jabs, medication and not to mention the horrors of first trimester like throwing up and wooziness. Way into the second one now where I'm suppose to feel better with more energy, I find myself really sleepy and tired most of the time. It's nice to be rewarded with some baby movements. (which mostly only I can feel! hehe..)

By the way, baby seems to love daddy's taste in music. Lots of rock.. lots and lots of it...

la la la..

With a baby on the way, topics on our childhood songs and childhood books have dotted our conversations. Ck's got a weird memory for lyrics. He remembers the weirdest ones! On the other hand, he's baffled at how I remember all my lyrics. (KM does help in some ways.. =P)

Here's one that everyone knows, especially the chorus. Did you know that there are two verses with it??

Title: How much is that doggie in the window?

Chorus:

How much is that doggie in the window?

The one with the wagglely tail

How much is that doggie in the window?

I do hope that doggie's for sale

Verse One:

I must take a trip to California

And leave my poor sweetheart alone

If he has a dog, he won't be lonesome

And the doggie will have a good home

Verse Two:

I don't want a rabbit or a kitten

I don't want a parrot that talks

I don't want a bowl of little fishes

Cause you can't take a fish for a walk

Here's a song that I never knew existed! A new (new to me!) and great way to learn the alphabet.

Ck's hoping our baby, boy or girl, to be like me when I'm with him. Bursting into song out of the blue from time to time, entertaining him in the process. hehe..

leaving the nest

He's going to miss the birth of his nephew/niece..

He's going to miss at least 5 years of Brunei

I'm going to miss having him around to disturb and push around (although he's way bigger than me physically).

They all have to grow up at one point anyways.. Another countdown to add to the list! 7 days to go

Enjoy AU!
