The Power Of The "XX" Chromosome

This is a common story that we tell our friends, here it is regurgitated for your enjoyment & experimentation.

Quite awhile back, Chel got a new phone. I forget the make/model... I think it was an old (3G-capable) Sony Ericsson.

Anyway, we didn't check to make sure that the 3G MMS & Internet settings were correct & being new to SEs, we had no idea how to even enter or change any settings. So off we went to DeeJay at The Mall, Gadong (phone was from somewhere else, QQ I think). A female employee there says it'll cost $5. After I spew a few choice words, I storm away loudly while dragging my embarassed wife behind me. (Actually, we just said "No, thanks.")

We went to the other branch (which is a stone's throw away from The Mall, don't you just love Brunei) & I had a brilliant idea. I told my pretty wife to act innocent & coy about the whole thing. Bat your eyelashes kind of thing, you know. So the guy at the counter says "Wait ah" in all his Ah-Beng glory. Less than 5 minutes later, the settings were done & we were on our way, $5 richer!

Moral of the story, your hot wife/girlfriend/BFF can get you free stuff!
